Linge de Berry offers antique linens and textiles for the home, imported mainly from France, where I have a home in Berry in the Loire Valley. We also have some linens from Italy and Madeira and wherever I may travel and find beautiful things.

The business began with my love of vintage linens and textiles, and my inability to stop filling my armoires and linen closets.

These beautiful and enduring linens and toiles can be used as intended, on bed or table, and they can also be adapted to other creative uses ~ linen sheets make wonderful drapes for windows and slipcovers for headboards, with their monograms artfully placed. Pieces of toile can become bedcovers, pillows and other decorative accessories. Embroidered silks that began their lives on church alters are wonderful as baldaquins, valences, or table covers.

From the 18th century and the era of Napoleon III to the 1940s, the styles change but the luxurious feeling and luminous colors of fine linens, cottons and silks endures. We hope you will enjoy them in your home.

Our linens are sold at antique textile shows and through select antique dealers and other retailers. See Noteworthy for current listings. Private appointments can also be arranged, depending on location, and custom orders can usually be accommodated. We can work directly with you or through your decorator.
