From the large Aubusson tapestries that warmed the walls of the chateaux, to the smaller chair seats and backs, and of course pillows, needlework has been a great part of the textile history of France.

We have many examples of needlework from 18th C. petitpoint pillows to 20th C replicas of 19th needlepoint chair seats and backs, plus small tapestry wall hangings from the 19th C., English beaded footstools from the Victorian era (c1860), and various pieces of needlepoint, painted canvas and beadwork, either sold as pieces or made into decorative cushions.
